What’s Your Favourite Season?
Hey everyone!
I hope you’re having a brilliant day, wherever you are in the world (and hopefully enjoying some lovely weather while you’re at it!).
I was thinking recently about how much the seasons shape our lives — from the clothes we wear to the food we crave and the little rituals that bring us joy. It made me curious… what’s your absolute favourite season, and why?
- Is it the long, golden evenings of summer — perfect for barbecues and ice lollies?
- Do you adore the crisp air and rich colours of autumn — crunchy leaves, cosy jumpers, and that gentle slow-down?
- Maybe you love the snuggly calm of winter — hot chocolate, fairy lights, and the sound of rain against the windows.
- Or perhaps spring is your season, when the world wakes up again and everything feels fresh and full of possibility.
My favourites
For me, it’s always spring — the brighter days, the birds gathering nesting materials, frogspawn in ponds, and the scent of freshly cut grass.
I also have a soft spot for autumn: the crisp mornings, frosty spiderwebs, and those beautiful golden tones everywhere you look.
Winter comes next — the sound of rain hitting the windows, the wind howling outside while I’m wrapped in a fluffy dressing gown with something warm and tasty to eat.
So yes, that means summer comes last for me. I don’t love heatwaves (or wasps 😅), but there’s still something magical about cool summer evenings and garden barbecues with family.
